Kimberly McAbee-Carter, born in Fresno, CA. and graduating from South High School, has been a presence in the Bakersfield Music Scene for almost three decades. She began her career in her twenties during a local True Value County Showdown, singing her way into the hearts of Country Music Fans in local clubs in Bakersfield and Los Angeles were she has been recognized and awarded Female Vocalist of the Year in both areas. During those early years, she was introduced to Jim Shaw, the Producer and Keyboardist with Buck Owens & The Buckaroos and soon became a re-occurring part of the Buckaroos. Buck Owens officially came out of retirement when he opened his now famous dinner theatre, ‘The Crystal Palace’ in Bakersfield, CA in 1996 with the “Buckaroos” including Vocalist Kim McAbee. The chemistry between the two on stage became heartfelt by the community, with people tuning into the live radio shows each weekend to hear not only the great music but to enjoy the fun banter between the two.

Kim singing with the famous Buckaroos has shared the stage with dozens of Country Music’s Greatest Stars and Legends as well as venturing out into the National Spotlight herself. With three existing Albums to her credit, and current project, an album under production with National Artist Ty Herndon.

With so many wonderful memories, she reminisces on one of her first solo performances traveling with Promoter Bob Bender and close friend Rick Davis as her Manager, they boarded a COD Transport Plane and did a Tail-Hook Landing, the first ever Artist’s to be flown this way, and boarded the USS Rangers’, return from deployment from the ‘Gulf War’ June 8, 1991.

Kyle Carter, born in Bakersfield, CA. and graduating from North High School had always dreamed of building homes. He joined the Local Carpenters Union, which was his gateway into the Home Building Industry where he spent his career building homes and developing properties.

At the age of 13 Kyle started playing his sisters nylon string guitar. At the age of 15 he started his first garage band and played with several school friends or just by himself. In his thirties he took that love and skill further by co-leading music at his church for the youth group for six years. After being introduced to Kim McAbee they both quickly connected and put the love for each other and for music together, Kyle played the Acoustic Guitar while promoting and touring for her album release with her group ‘7th Standard’. Whether at Radio or the whole 7th Standard Band, they have traveled across the United States performing together.
